Job Overview

Join Employers AI as a Founding Engineer and play a pivotal role in developing our core product, Ava, an AI agent designed for hiring. This is an equity-based position with a market-leading salary contingent upon successful fundraising or revenue generation. We are looking for a dedicated engineer who can contribute to our mission of building AI employees for the future. If you have deep expertise in AI product development, particularly with LLMs, RAG, Vector DBs, and prompt engineering, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Continue the development of our AI agents alongside our existing developers, focusing on enhancing Ava's capabilities.
• Leverage your AI experience to improve existing features and introduce innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with the founding team to define product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with market needs.
• Implement scalable and efficient code using TypeScript, Node.js, and Google Cloud, integrating AI tooling like Langchain or similar.
• Participate in product design discussions and contribute innovative ideas to dazzle investors, our waitlist, and customers with every release.
• Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues as they arise, ensuring a smooth user experience.
• Help shape the engineering culture and practices of the company, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in building AI products and agents, with a strong focus on LLMs, RAG, Vector DBs, and prompt engineering.
• Previous experience in an AI startup is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and Google Cloud, as well as familiarity with AI tooling like Langchain or similar.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while seeking ownership in your work.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with aspirations to grow into a lead engineer or CTO role in the future.
• Willingness to commit part-time until funding is secured, with the potential for a full-time role as we scale.
